We have been travelling 44 days by motorcycle & the heat in the SD Badlands was steaming hot 39....we were graciously given early check in from Jane & Paul. On arrival we had a great chat with both-sharing travel tales, family & the love of the West..lovely,friendly, genuine down home people. The motel was just what we needed.-- out of the heat--front porch, chairs, flowers- a real homey touch-2 Queen beds, air conditioning, clean & fresh, wood interior, kitchenette with a private back deck/ chairs- overlooking the small town. Jane was doing laundry duties that day & let me know the laundromat was for motel clients & local town's people.- perfect place to stay to get refreshed...quiet but not far from Badlands, The Wall Drugs. Thanks for a great stay...your community & family style living.

This was a family trip to South Dakota. Jayne was the perfect host. She was always friendly and quick to respond. Check in was so easy. This is the perfect location if you are headed to the Badlands or Wall Drug - only 15 minutes away. Very peaceful location and the room was very clean. Highly recommend adding this location to your vacation!

Out of the way haven! Several miles from the crowds at Wall, SD but close enough to the badlands to be convenient. Tim was small but comfortable and clean. Great place to get away!

We had a great 2 night stay in the cozy Wagon wheel. Extremely clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a comfortable rest. Wasta was a quick drive to Badlands NP and is very quiet! Jayne is extremely friendly, welcoming and quick and responsive with communication.

We needed a last minute hotel and didn’t want to pay bigger city prices. This was a quaint but comfortable stop. It seems like the owners may be in the process of update and remodeling some old motels in the town. Rooms were clean, small snacks and coffee provided in the room, showers were hot and clean. Bed was comfortable. After a few days of dispersed camping this was a nice place to stay. The owner/manager was very helpful and easy to get a hold of.

This place is nothing short of an amazing find close to Badlands NP. Don't let the old motor lodge or plywood wall pics scare or fool you. This is a mini resort. Modern, clean as a whistle, comfortable, convenient to Badlands, well priced and run by the most amazing hosts. Cannot say enough good things. And read all the reviews online - our experience is apparently what almost everyone has. Don't miss this spot!

I booked this motel based on reviews and I was so happy I did! The entire experience started at booking…I talked with Jayne and she was very helpful and knowledgeable, when we weee closer to the check in date, she reached out to me to confirm..there was a change in the number of people and she was very understanding and flexible.. She asked for my eta and had the A/C running for my family so it was nice and cool when we got there. The room was very nice, clean, spacious, had a kitchenette with a fridge, Fluffy blankets on the bed, and a spacious bathroom. All in all, it was such a nice place and I would definitely come stay here again!

5 stars every step of the way for this property and the owners! Like many other travelers, we needed a place to stay near Wall and Badlands National Park. And like many others, the availability and price of tired, run down chain hotels in Wall was just ridiculous. We ran across the Wagon Wheel as we searched for a clean, safe, and affordable place to stay for one night. What a gem! Jane—one of the owners—was incredibly gracious, kind, and ultra responsive…she drove a couple rolls of toilet paper over to us late one evening and spent several minutes chatting with us out on the deck. What a nice person! So glad we found this property! The room itself was obviously newly remodeled and super clean and comfortable. We had everything and more that we needed! We would most definitely stay here again and wish Jane and her family all the best as they continue to build a great brand and reputation in Wasta! Thank you!!!
